The Clubhouse App: LOVE

Let’s talk about the Clubhouse app.

Gosh, can I count the ways I love thee? The Clubhouse social app is so fantastic, and for a bunch of reasons. Let’s start with the lovely connections that you can make on Clubhouse! Entrepreneurship is a lonely journey. I don’t think we often realize it because we have been so head down, churning out ideas, content, products, etc. Often so much time has passed before we look up, look around, and realize that we are, in fact, alone.

Clubhouse bridges that gap in so many ways.

The Clubhouse app is like an ongoing virtual conference. You can choose from a menu of rooms and pop in and out based on your interests. It’s also like a huge support group for entrepreneurs. Additionally, it’s like a podcast AND a live radio show. People are constantly dropping knowledge bombs about how they run their business, time hacks, and social media strategies. I love listening to other entrepreneurs sharing personal stories of the challenges of running a business online.

It’s SUCH A BEAUTIFUL THING!

The great thing about the Clubhouse algorithm is that the more people that you find that share information that you find interesting (and you follow them), the more you find even more content that lights you up. That’s why it’s important not to just follow people because they follow you – Clubhouse curates your experience based on your network. So be a little picky on who you associate with. (And stay out of the “after dark” rooms!)

Oh, I could go on and on about Clubhouse and why I love it but I’ll save that for my next article!

The biggest negative is if you have an Android phone, Clubhouse isn’t yet available for you. I actually heard one guy say he bought an iphone so that he could log in to the Clubhouse app on ios!

The good news: it sounds like Clubhouse will leave it’s Beta mode soon and may be available to the general public (and Android users) by March of 2021. We shall see!

Are you on Clubhouse? Obviously, I am and I host my own room on Clubhouse every Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST, all about content creation. I’d love for you to join me!
