Winter beauty tips are key as the cold weather wreaks havoc on our beauty routines … as if we didn’t have enough to worry about during these challenging times!
And trust me, I am the least-likely person to give beauty advice! I rarely wear make up and would prefer to stay in my pajamas all day. However. Video is king in all forms of digital marketing, so we have to get ready – at least waist up.
So here’s a few ideas you can steal that will have you looking and feeling your best during the final weeks of winter. Put your best face forward with these 3 tips!
1. Winter Beauty Tip 1: Drink plenty of water and cut out the sugar.
2. Winter Beauty Tip 2: Invest in fake eyelashes (seriously).
3. Winter Beauty Tip 3: Smile big.
Let’s dive in to each one!
Winter Beauty Tip 1: Drink plenty of water and cut out the sugar.
I’m not saying go full on keto here – but sugar is a silent culprit in so many health offenses. Think about it – eating too much sugar can make you feel tired and sluggish. Sugar can contribute to skin breakouts. Perhaps most notably, sugar can cause weight gain. So cutting it out or limiting sugar in your diet can potentially improve your health in many ways!
On the positive side, drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day hydrates our skin. Water keeps us feeling healthier by flushing out toxins. Most of our cells are made of water, so it makes sense that drinking water is great for our body. Plus it helps us keep moving – drinking water will make us get up from our computers and go to the bathroom. Even a little movement at a time can make a big difference!
Winter Beauty Tip 2: Wear Fake Eyelashes!
You probably think I’m crazy but I LOOOOVE fake eyelashes! They don’t have to be expensive and they don’t even have to be glued on your natural lashes! My favorites are the eyelashes that have the magnetic liner.
Draw your line, let it dry for 3 minutes, and voila! Instant beauty upgrade! They look great on camera. Plus they make life a little more fun!
Tip 3: Smile big.
A giant smile brightens up any person’s zoom screen. After watching tv interviews on news stations, I realized one consistency between the women who were getting interviewed: they smiled and held the “smile pose” through the introduction and the first question. It was a little awkward sometimes, but it definitely made them seem more approachable or kind.
So, what do you think of these winter beauty tips? I would love to sit around in these pajamas all day but I’ve found these three tips help me get and stay camera ready all day! Let me know what works for you!
